Sevens World Cup
The Women's Sevens World Cup has taken place every four years and alongside the men's since 2009. The 2013 tournament will be the final event following IRB statement that their intention would be to end the World Cup Sevens so that the Olympic Games would be the one pinnacle in a four year cycle for Rugby Sevens. Australia won the first Sevens World Cup in 2009.
